The Wonders of Bicarbonate of Soda

I have stumbled on something that is so easy to make and relatively inexpensive to buy which renders results that are surprising.

Historically Bicarb, otherwise known as baking soda – also the active ingredient in the good old famous “Enos” back in the day – was used medicinally for treating UTI’s ( Urinary Tract Infections), and for skin treatments in face masks and scrubs – more specifically body scrubs. I have, especially through covid, mixed with lemon juice and used it to clean surfaces – it’s an excellent non-chemical way of cleaning your kitchen.  This is all good, super valid and please don’t stop using it like this!

But have you ever thought of using it to train with as a fat burner?

Well this is exactly what I (sceptically, if I am totally honest) stumbled on. It is really an amazing fat burner when mixed with the right stuff and it is really a great way to accelerate weight loss-and helps you get more out of your workout – but be warned it is not a quick fix and there are rules.

Sodium Bicarbonate (NaHCO3) is a chemical salt that in its natural form is the mineral nahcolite. Depending on what you mix it with, Baking Soda can be an acid or a base. In aqueous cream it is more alkaline.

PH Acid Alkaline ScaleWe all know that the body is healthier leaning towards an alkaline state, but some places in the body need more acid to function better like for example the stomach – yip you got it – because it digests our food. Bicarbonate of Soda helps to regulate pH and keep it steady- it regulates acidity and alkalinity, It has the ability to neutralise anything that it comes into contact with making it a highly effective substance for so many things!

However not all bicarbs are the same – what you want to use here is aluminium free sodium Bicarbonate – this will render the healthiest results you are looking for!

It will not only motivate you to spin or train longer but also harder no matter what physical activity you are doing.

Coconut Water: I love this stuff! I could drink it all day! It’s delicious! – it has a deceptively light consistency it packs a Nutritional punch! it has high levels of minerals such as iron, Magnesium, manganese, Calcium, and zinc- more than than most fruits, including an orange. It also contains all your B – Vitamins: Niacin, thiamine, Riboflavin and Pyridoxine. being high in potassium- during high intensity activity your body sweats lowering your potassium levels, but any electrolyte worth it’s salt should have a minimum of 250ml of potassium and 105ml of sodium for every 100ml serving – JUST LIKE coconut water!

Raw Honey

Raw Honey:  Try to get this from your local beekeeper as organic because honey harvested from your local area will help your immunity to viruses and allergens in your immediate area, desensitising you from them.

Bicarbonate of Soda is also a SUPER CHARGED Acid Reflux reliever.

Acid Reflux Reliever

Acid reflux typically results from having too little acid in the stomach- so, to improve the acid in your stomach mix a tablespoon or two of raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar into 300ml of water and drink –

Adding a 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda will further neutralise your internal fire – however beware- it will foam like mad first – so wait for it to slow down before you drink it!

Green Tea and Baking Soda: – A Metabolism Booster!

In A recent study out in Penn State College of Agricultural sciences they found that drinking green tea can boost the effects of weight loss. Mice were fed s diet of high amounts of fat, exercised regularly and given

Green Tea Extract

GREEN TEA EXTACT. An average body mass reduction of 27.1% and an abdominal fat reduction of 36%. Was shown. I have recently used this with some of my clients this January and they are raving about the centimetre loss all over their body!

Catechins, Theanine and Caffeine promote weight loss- these are found in GREEN TEA, working together to block enzymes responsible for fat storage in the body. When you combine the superpowers of Green Tea to Baking soda to you REV-UP the FAT BURNING and encourage optimal pH (7.2) in the Body

Find Your Balance

An acidic person cannot burn fat well- that is why this is important-excess acid is stored in the fat cells and when the acid is locked in the cells, due to a less then optimal pH level- weight loss is inhibited. When the acid is released, it sends the pH out of balance making you feel fatigued and ill all the time.

Bottom Line– Choose an Organic GREEN TEA and add a 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in a cup of water- and enjoy daily. Watch your results happen before your very eyes with consistent exercise and a good eating plan- with my help here you could be well on your way to your very best you ever!
